Industrial Door Systems is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the widely accepted standard for web accessibility.
What We've Done
- Sufficient color contrast on all text against its background, meeting WCAG AA contrast ratios
- A logical heading structure so screen readers and keyboard navigation can move through page content in order
- Descriptive labels on links, buttons, and icons that don't otherwise have visible text
- Real form labels (not just placeholder text) on every field in our contact and quote forms
- Keyboard support for interactive elements like our quote request panel, including closing it with the Escape key
- A skip-to-content link for keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. As we add new pages and features, we test them against the same standards described above.
